    This a group dedicated to exploring Vancouver Island by sea kayaking and hiking. This is a non-club with no insurance and minimal overhead. Bring your own kayak, hiking boots, common sense, responsibility for your own safety, enthusiasm and contribute your own unique skills, talents, adventure stories and favourite pot luck dishes. Members signing up for trips are expected to be able to paddle 10 - 15 km per day at a pace of 3 nautical miles per hour and have adequate kayaking equipment and clot …

    I would like to encourage young children to develop a love for the outdoors, and create an environment that encourages children to bond with their parents by doing some fun outdoors activities. I also hope to create an environment that will help them learn the value of friendship and of being part of a community. Some of the activities I have in mind are hiking, cross country skiing, canoeing, camping, tobogganing, cycling, swimming in lakes or rivers, and whatever else we can come up with.
